Project Description:

Optical Wireless Communication Center of Excellence (OKATEM) is Turkey's first research and development laboratory focused on optical wireless communication. OKATEM was founded in 2015 with support from the Istanbul Development Agency. The center's goal is to create a shared space that facilitates the production and transfer of information and technology in the field of optical wireless communication, which has the potential to change the telecommunications sector through university-private sector collaboration, as well as to enable the development of innovative optical wireless communication solutions.

This internship program focuses on hands-on experimentation in wireless communication systems. Interns will work in the OKATEM, using equipment to test and analyze wireless signals. The work includes setting up experiments, measuring signal characteristics, learning about real-world challenges such as noise and interference, and dealing with Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP).

Requirements:

• Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering or related undergraduate program.
• Completed at least 180 ECTS (Senior students).
• GPA ≥ 2.8.
