The Future Airport Experience Award-Winning Idea Competition

The Future Airport Experience Award-Winning Idea Competition was held at Özyeğin University in collaboration with Özyeğin University and IGA Istanbul Airport

On October 23, 2025, Özyeğin University Aviation Management program students, Interior Design program and Psychology program students came together at Özyeğin University to produce innovative solutions to real-life problems in airport operations.

The competition was organized by Lecturer Mehmet Ertürk, and Research Assistant Rabia Demir Güven and Asst. Prof. Leyla Adiloğlu Yalçınkaya, Aviation Management Dept. Chair, in collaboration with IGA Airport Customer Experience, Electronic Systems, and IT units.

The students had the opportunity to listen to presentations by the IGA Istanbul Airport team on the topics of “Digital Applications at the Airport,” “Sustainability Through Digitalization,” “Artificial Intelligence Applications & the Balance of Human Touch,” and “Design Thinking and Experience Design Processes,” and to present their own project ideas to the expert team.

We wholeheartedly congratulate our students — Yaren Akyaz, Seda Gümedağ, Duru Sağol, Nazlı Sipahioğlu, and Sudenaz Aksu — whose innovative project, EVA, stood out among many inspiring ideas and was recognized as the winning concept of The Future Airport Experience Award-Winning Idea Competition. We also extend our sincere thanks to IGA Istanbul for this valuable collaboration and opportunity.
