Dr. Ebru Ertugal obtained her BA in International Relations (in English) from Marmara University in 1993, MA in European Studies from the EU Institute at Marmara University in 1995, her second MA in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick in 1996 and her Ph.D. in Political Science from the Catholic University of Leuven in 2005.

Dr. Ertugal published in refereed international journals on a range of topics in comparative public policy, governance, international and comparative political economy and Europeanisation. Additionally, she acted as principal investigator, co-investigator and researcher in various research projects funded by the EU, the United Nations and TUBITAK.
