Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Tekin Bilbil is a scholar specializing in governance, resilience, risk, and uncertainty. She earned her PhD in Political Science and International Relations from Boğaziçi University in 2012 with a dissertation titled “The Politics of Uncertainty in the Global Market,” examining agricultural policies, market dynamics, and uncertainty analysis.

Dr. Bilbil has held visiting research positions at Dublin City University (2008-2009) and the Istanbul Studies Center at Kadir Has University (2020-2021). With over a decade of experience in market research and technology solutions in the private sector, she also taught as a part-time lecturer at Boğaziçi University from 2014 to 2018.

Appointed as an Associate Professor in Local Governments, Urban, and Environmental Policies in 2021, Dr. Bilbil’s research is published in leading peer-reviewed journals indexed in SSCI and ABS categories.

Her work centers on multi-stakeholder collaborations with civil society organizations such as TÜRKONFED, TÜSİAD, and İhtiyaç Haritası, alongside the private sector, municipalities, and public institutions. Dr. Bilbil has served as an academic coordinator in numerous national and EU-funded projects, contributing to knowledge transfer and policy development. She also leads training and capacity-building initiatives on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability reporting for municipalities, corporations, and SMEs across various sectors.
