About Global Exchange Program

Global Exchange is a mobility program that allows students to study a semester of their degree at a partner institution of Özyeğin without paying any tuition fees to the host institution. However, please note that there is no financial support system similar to the Erasmus+ program. The program mainly consists of study mobility in non-European countries. Students who partake in the Global Exchange program pay their tuition fees to Ozyegin University only, meaning they are exempt from the tuition fees of the host institution.

As of the 2025/26 academic year, Global Exchange students are able to benefit from scholarship opportunities, provided by Özyeğin University or other external institutions. Students can check out the International Mobility Scholarship Program for the opportunities provided by Özyeğin University, or check out the Governmental Scholarships / External Fundings page to see other alternatives provided by the host countries / universities.

Regardless of receiving any type of scholarship, students are responsible for covering all their expenses such as travel, accomodation, visa, insurance etc. throughout their exchange period.

The list of partner institutions available can be found on our Partner Institutions page.

Swiss European Mobility Program (SEMP) applications and placements are evaluated under Global Exchange Program.

It is recommended for our undergraduate students to apply for exchange programs in their second year, and our graduate students to apply in their first year. It is not recommended for undergraduate and graduate OzU students to partake in an exchange program in the semester they plan to graduate. Students who have completed a minimum of 24 ECTS at the time of applying for exchange programs and have a minimum of 24 ECTS credits remaining for graduation from their primary majors can apply.
